1. Raw material picking, drying, and chopping. This is an easy step to prepare like many other herbs and crops.
2. After the hemp plant is well treated, it goes to the extraction system. Alcohol extraction is mostly used in extracting equipment currently. So the major equipment can be separated as below:
A. Pre-cooling vessel for cold solvent.
B. Extraction. (centrifugal or other types)
C. Filters(multiple-stages), at least 3 stages.
D. Pre-heating vessel/storage tank
E. Film falling evaporator (or evaporators as the user asked)
F. Alcohol recovery system (if using ethanol as extraction solvent)
G. Vacuum system (not just vacuum pump, a system to ensure vacuum works continuously and quite stable, necessary safety and protection made)
H. Decarboxylation system

The extraction works under ultra-low temperature, -40℃， -60℃，-80℃ and even lower. The lower temperature extraction gets different results. To speed up the extraction processor to reduce the preparing time, it is suggested to have stainless steel pre-cooling alcohol vessels to hold ethanol, to cold down the solvent in advance. This pre-cooling tanks ‘design should be able to circulate with the following alcohol recovery system, thus saving solvent consumption.
Many users choose centrifugal extractors to extract. It can be used as a batch process, for continuous extraction, there can be another type. Our centrifugal extraction is pre-set with hemp soaking time, extraction time uses low-temperature resistant, explosion-proof, and flame-proof sanitary materials and its operating temperature The range can be from -60°C to 150°C. the user just needs to put in raw material, close the device. Turn on and run the centrifugal extractor, it works according to the pre-set value. Of course, the value is adjustable too.
Filters(multiple-stages), at least 3 stages
It is a crucial step in the process, it will influence the quality and purity of CBD oil. The right filters for the initial extracted liquid need at least 3stages, from coarse particles to micro sizes. Each stage filters out targeted particles such as fat, wax, odor, chlorophyll and etc. in this case, we designed multiple stage filters which combine bag filter, lenticular filter, cartridge filter into one filtering modular. By using this unit, can reduce a lot of connection and piping work at the user’s site. By the way, each piece of equipment in the CBD oil extraction process has been made into an independent modular. We make the piping and operation work as easy as possible. With a little training, the user will know how to use it. When choosing the filters, we should pay attention to capacity size, filtering micrometer so that the subsequent to the previous paragraph will not keep continuously working. No clog of material in the filter is very important.
Pre-heating vessel/storage tank
After the filtering process, the liquid can enter the evaporating stage. The evaporator needs a high temperature to remove alcohol out from the liquid. To speed up this process, it’s better for the user to prepare a pre-heating tank, where the liquid can be pre-heated from cold temperature to room temperature or higher. This can reduce the workload or energy consumption during evaporation.
Film falling evaporator/ball shape evaporator (or evaporators as the user asked)
The preheated CBD contented liquid enters the evaporator, alcohol is removed. The hard part of this device is the film falling stirrer. The accuracy and mechanical design and symmetry are crucial. Directly influence the evaporating result. This falling film evaporator is composed of falling film heaters, separators, preheaters, condensers, condensate collection tanks, circulating pumps and etc.
We also design a vacuum system modular that contains a vacuum pump, water/gas separation, condensing tank, check valve, anti-vibration pad, controlling system into one system. Also a simple and compact design.
